Phase 2 Pet Waste Station Service

Beginning Monday, March 3rd, the following pet waste stations will be serviced two times per week (Monday and Friday):

  • Entrance to Macon Park
  • Corner of S. Macon & Hudson
  • Entrance to Hudson Park
  • Macon Mews - station closest to S. Macon St.

This should prevent the overflowing of bags at these stations.

If you encounter a can that is overflowing, PLEASE do not add your bag to that can.  Pet waste attracts rats, smells badly, and looks terrible!  There are several cans throughout the community that can be used, or just bring your baggie home!

Snowfall Expected March 14th

Weather forecasts are predicting several inches of snowfall beginning overnight March 13th into March 14th.  AMG employees will be on property treating the sidewalks and alleyways as needed.  Please use caution while walking and driving through the neighborhood.

Important:  If your vehicle does not fit 100% on your parking pad, please park it either in the garage or on the street.  It is essential that the snow plow be able to clear snow from the alleyway.  Even if your car sticks out a few inches it will impede the plow from getting through.

Any questions can be addressed to board@odonnellsquare.com or cminnel@scs-management.com.

Dogs in the Greenspaces

Please remember that, per Section 7.2 of the ODS Covenants and Restrictions, dogs must remain on a leash and under the owner's control at all times.

Recently there have been multiple incidents brought to the Board's attention where an unleashed dog approached a passerby aggressively.  While those of us who are dog owners want nothing more than free space for Fido to roam, the situation is starting to get out of hand, particularly in the Macon greenspace, where there are often several dogs running around unleashed at the same time.

Please be considerate of your neighbors and passers-by and have your dog on a leash at all times!

Trash Cans

Residents are reminded that, in accordance with Section 7.2 of the ODS Covenants and Restrictions:  trash cans and recycling bins must be stored in the garage on non-pickup days.  Trash pickup is Tuesday morning, which means that trash cans may be outside from Monday evening through Tuesday evening.  The same applies to recycling pickup, which is Thursday morning.

This is important for the following reasons:

  • The longer trash and recycling containers are left outside, the more likely it is that trash and debris will become dislodged and litter the neighborhood.  No one wants a trashy neighborhood!
  • Rats and mice are attracted to trash cans, particularly in the winter time.  Enough said.
  • The new trash cans supplied by Baltimore City have become a target for thieves.  It is unclear why anyone would steal a trash can, but it has been happening.  Anything that could attract criminals to our neighborhood must be avoided at all costs.
  • Trash and recycling cans are generally unsightly and take away from the clean, healthy living environment we all strive for.

Please be considerate of your fellow neighbors and bring your trash and recycling containers inside on non-pickup days!!  For the reasons listed above, this issue is serious enough that the Board may elect to issue violations to homeowners who are non-compliant.

Snow Expected January 5th-6th

Weather forecasts are predicting 1-2 inches of snow beginning overnight Thursday January 5th.

AMG employees will be on the property pre-treating sidewalks with concrete-safe ice melt.  Sidewalks will be cleared if the snowfall amount warrants.  Please use caution as you walk through the property.

If there is an area that you believe needs additional treatment, or for other concerns, you can:

1- Complete the Contact form to reach the Board,  2- Email board@odonnellsquare.com, or 3- Email the property manager at CMinnel@scs-management.com.

Lights On!

Residents are strongly encouraged to leave their exterior lights near the front door and garage door ON during nighttime hours.  Having well lit alleyways and front walkways is one of the easiest things we can do to prevent unwanted visitors at night.

To make this even easier, consider a simple automatic light timer like this one found at Home Depot.

Winter Weather Guidelines

For inclement weather events, the alleyways and sidewalks within O'Donnell Square will be cleared and treated by Atlantic Maintenance Group employees.  Residents are reminded that they are responsible for clearing their front stoops and individual driveways.

The paved streets within O'Donnell Square (Macon, Hudson, Foster, etc.) are public roadways and are cleared and salted by Baltimore City, not the HOA.

For urgent issues during weather events, use the Contact form to reach out to the Board of Directors.
